Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Initially I had a kml file of geographic regions. Each region is a single polygon. I have imported the kml file into ArcGIS as a shape file. Several of the sides of the regions are supposed to align with county boundaries but don't.

I also have the county shape file from the US Atlas. What I would like to do is update the regions to align with a county boundary as appropriate. I'm new to ArcGIS and am having trouble figuring out how to do this.

try the integrate tool (on a copy, because it is not reversable) –  radouxju Jul 19 at 8:53
