I am trying to set a model to where it can automatically update a KML only when there are new features added or modified to my shapefile. Trying to avoid having to convert periodically. Can anyone help?

How would the model know if you changed the shapefile unless it has a reference, baseline shapefile with which to be compared? – Paul Jul 25 '14 at 18:32
I am just getting familiar with model builder, not sure what are the restrictions. If this is possible in a way it would be helpful. – user35055 Jul 25 '14 at 18:40
is the shapefile modified by yourself or by someone else? And how is it modified? Manually or via a modelbuilder? – Below the Radar Jul 25 '14 at 19:26
It will be modified by me manually. I am trying to have my kmz files up to date as soon as my shapefile is updated. – user35055 Jul 25 '14 at 19:30
Does the kmz consist of one or multiple layers? – artwork21 Jul 25 '14 at 21:03
