I've created a new feature layer where I am allowing users to add polygons. It has a few attributes, but I am not setting them on the graphic when I add it to the feature layer's graphics collection.

When the feature layer tries to save, it completes, firing the EndSaveEdits, but the EndEditEventArgs class is returning not successful, and the AddResultscolleciton returns:

ErrorCode: -2147216100
ErrorDescription: Error while inserting populated row into Insert Cursor
GlobalID: null
ObjectID: -1
Success: False

I found a link, saying it could be permissions, but my SDE admin says I have all the necessary permissions.
What the heck is going on with this feature layer?

"but I am not setting them on the graphic". Did you try setting them to just some default value (like null)? – Kirk Kuykendall Jun 15 '11 at 22:23
I am so new to the ESRI api, that I don't know if it requires me to pre set all of the parameters. I was going to test, but our IT managers have been updating the server, and I have not been able to try setting the attributes manually. Do I have to set all of the attributes on the client before I Save? – N8T Jun 17 '11 at 14:04
I recall having to add attributes with null values. You might try testing using Esri's demo featureserver. That way others can reproduce any issues you find. – Kirk Kuykendall Jun 17 '11 at 14:10
Thanks Kirk. I will try to set some defaults for the graphics attributes to see if the save completes successfully. – N8T Jun 17 '11 at 14:15
