Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'd like to get some information on ownership for public, private and in general that applied to GIS. Is there a good website that I can read about it?

The reason I am asking is because there's data out there that uses Land Ownership.

Is that some sort of Political Geography or similar to it??

Help !

Thanks

This post says some things about "ownership" and "GIS" and "land" but there's no recognizable, unambiguous question. Could you please clarify and repost? – whuber Jun 17 '11 at 21:30
I'd recommend looking into work by Hernando de Soto and perhaps re-phrase your question. He delivered an interesting keynote speech at the 2009 Esri UC. – Kirk Kuykendall Jun 18 '11 at 20:13

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.
