I am looking to build polygons, based on files containing a grid of points. The representation of the polygon would be an aggregation of the points. As the end wares are ESRI, I was wondering if there were online resources for performing this type of object creation; creating shape files based on this?

what do you mean by online resources? A existing ESRI script or tool, a open source GIS software (such as QGIS), or some other type of web service to run your point to polygon conversion? – artwork21 Jul 6 '11 at 13:30
Some kind of free web service (I am just looking in case, to avoid using an ArcInfo License). Cheers – Hairy Jul 6 '11 at 13:32

Not a web service, but you could use the Point to Polygon tool from ET Geowizard (free).
