I want to build a .NET application that can get an input of 2 lat/long points and return an output that specified the driving distance between the points.

What APIs or methods could be used to perform that task?

There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format. Please add details to narrow the answer set or to isolate an issue that can be answered in a few paragraphs. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

Do you want to use web services, or with road network data sets stored on your local machine? – Kirk Kuykendall Sep 27 '11 at 19:09

I was thinking about web services, but any other solution will be accepted gladly – Sagi Sep 29 '11 at 8:41

2 api's spring to mind, the ESRI network task service and the google directions service.

I'm sure Bing has one as well
