I have used data driven pages in an old job, however when I try create them in this one, my exported PDF's are corrupt. They have just upgraded to arcmap 10 so I was thinking maybe it was some kind of font issue. I think its the imagery that they get from a WMS server. As I have removed all layers but this imagery and it ends up either blank or greyed out on my output pdfs. Is there some way to save WMS imagery to my computer or otherwise get around this issue?

Btw, even if I export a single map the imagery doesn't completely export so I'm thinking this is an issue not just with data driven pages.

Have you tried playing around with the settings in the Export PDF window? There are a lot of different parameters you can tweak, most of which are described here. – dmahr Jan 23 '12 at 23:14
yes I have. The best I can do atm is to print as a pdf and export my data driven pages that way - but I don't get layered pdfs like that – sni Jan 24 '12 at 2:32
I'm thinking its a problem with the imagery's resolution - its at 15cm and I have 4 gigs of ram - maybe not enough to handle it. – sni Jan 24 '12 at 3:19
