Normally, we change projection of vector data for displaying it over a Google base map. Is it possible to change the projection of base image tiles map? If yes, how we can do that? Any reference or code example will be appreciated.

What format are your image files in, jpg, tif, sid...etc? – artwork21 Mar 6 '12 at 12:58
Do you have access to the untiled image? If so, you could use gdalwarp and to project and retile the basemap. – Jay Laura Mar 6 '12 at 13:31
