I tried to identity thousands of points with millions polygon. ArcInfo work well but i have to get the result from Web Services.So i tried to implement the algorithm(Point in polygon) by myself,it doesn't work efficiently. Is there any faster algorithm or implementation for solve this?

Appreciate any suggestion.

What software you are using? In case you are using PostGIS, you can use ST_Contains : which is quite an efficient function for point in polygon search. – thelastray Apr 27 '12 at 4:34
