I am wondering what's going on behind the scenes in the gdalplugins for Oracle Spatial: gdal_GEOR.dll and ogr_OCI.dll. I assume MDSYS.ALL_SDO_GEOM_METADATA and MDSYS.ALL_SDO_INDEX_INFO are read ?

When I try to connect to Oracle Spatial, Quantum GIS is not reacting anymore..... Is it possible to make a progress bar or something which indicates what the gdalplugins are doing and also what's going wrong ?
