To Whom It May Concern:

I am in the process of launching a commercial real estate business and I wish to incorporate QGIS as a tool for keeping and analyzing demographic and market research information. I am new to QGIS and GIS in general and I need to find an instructor, seminar or class in the Los Angeles, California area to learn how to use QGIS. Also, I am an Apple Mac user and compatibility with Mac is important to me. Please advise.

Never heard of courses being offered for QGIS. It may be possible for you to hire a local who is well versed in QGIS. This would be beneficial as the person could taper the material towards your interest. To me it looks like you're not wanting to be a GIS Tech, but just need to know enough about the technology to be incorporate it into your business. After getting a hang of QGIS, there will be a wealth of information and resources available to you, this site especially. Good luck with your search. – dchaboya Aug 16 '12 at 3:09
