Does anyone know of an alternative to a product like DeLorme Street Atlas USA 2012 Plus? I am interested in finding something that makes it easy for me to create and export custom PDF maps. Having data bundled or very easily installed would be a great advantage. If its not free software, having a trial version would be great. Thanks for your help.

Find Your Way USA provides much the same functionality as Street Atlas, including maps of the entire USA. Trial download is free and includes the whole USA at low zoom levels, and the entire state of Minnesota at highest zoom levels, as an example of detail available when you buy the download version (only $8.99). It has the ability to quickly print snapshots of the map you are viewing. You can print to a pseudo printer that is really a PDF "receiver" to get the function you're looking for.
