Images linked to an annotation feature class with relative path does not appear when published in arcgisserver

Question

I have an annotation feature class containing linked images, and I have to publish it with Arcgis Server. The anomaly is created when I publish mxd as MapService. Linked images are not displayed in the annotation published by Arcgis Server that does not recognize the relative path of the images, even if they are regularly displayed in ArcMap. How can I fix this anomaly? thanks
