I just installed QGIS and am new to it. I want to use the raster calculator, but after assigning a name to the output layer QGIS tells me "Invalid Data Source" and "filename.tif is not a valid or recognized raster data source". What's wrong?

What is your OS and which version is GDAL and QGIS? What is the format of the input raster? – SS_Rebelious Aug 29 '12 at 9:33
