I am having an issue hosting a GeoServer based webpage over LAN. I am using Geoserver 2.2 (Binary), OS-Windows.

I configured my machine as local server using Tomcat as well as WAMP (Apache) and able to see the webpage with published vector/raster data on port:8090 (Tomcat) and on port:80 (WAMP).

But when I tried to access the webpage from another machine connected to LAN, it displays a blank frame with no data.

I tried my hands on MapGuide Maestro alternatively but got stuck with same problem.

Just to test whether the content I am trying to access over LAN is ok I added a simple picture (.jpeg format) on the hosted webpage. The page displayed the jpeg but the frame again is blank.

Please guide and let me know if any futher details are required in this regard.

Can you post your setup? IP addresses, too. The source code to the web page would be helpful, too. – R.K. Sep 25 '12 at 5:38

Need more info. Where was the webpage and JPG hosted? Apache? Geoserver can serve static files as well. T We need details like that to make sense of your problem. The IP addresses, too as I've mentioned already. – R.K. Sep 25 '12 at 6:24

If it works on your local machine, but not on a remote machine, you probably have a network firewall problem. Try disabling the firewall and retrying. – BradHards Sep 25 '12 at 7:58
