I am new to programming - I am using Silverlight 4.0 with ESRI API 2.4. I would like to do the following:

  1. Create a chart on a popup/maptip/infowindow when the user click on the feature in the web app.
  2. The data to create this chart needs to come from the related table in the service.

I have no clue how to accomplish this. I was looking at some sample code from the silverlight toolkit samples: silverlight toolkit, looking at the line series under the DataVisualization. But I am really lost on how to bind the data to the my service that has a related table.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using MVVM? – Kirk Kuykendall Oct 19 '12 at 18:28
No - MVVM still causes confusion for me, unfortunately. – GoofyTO Oct 19 '12 at 21:17
I found that Silverlight projects that don't use MVVM get very confusing as they grow. Learning the basics of MVVM would be worthwhile. I prefer MVVM Light. Here's a tutorial for it. – Kirk Kuykendall Oct 19 '12 at 21:23
