Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I tried to install rpy2 (pip install rpy2). I want to use the SDAPP4 extension with QGIS (QGIS shows up the message missing rpy2...). The system tells me always the same error: Tried to guess R's HOME but no R command in the PATH. What can I do to solve the problem? I'm using:

Windows XP
Python 2.7
R 2.11.0 (directory: C:\Programme\R\R-2.11.0)
QGIS 1.8

Sorry, I'm a beginner.

Thanx!

Any particular reason of using 2.11.0 R? Current version is 2.15.2. –  radek Nov 9 '12 at 14:47

I read that the SDAPP4 extension just runs under R 2.11.0. –  Pimpel Nov 9 '12 at 14:49

OK: new R 2.15.2 version...but now another problem: TypeError: sequence item 0: expected string, int found......Command python setup.py egg_info failed with error code 1 –  Pimpel Nov 9 '12 at 14:54
