First of all, I apologize to post this easy question. I have the following coordinated from a Convex Hull:

I wish to find a method in Python to find the minimum-area-rectangle using the method reported in this post

Although this is related to GIS, it's really asking to port code from R to Python, and so needs the attention of a community of experts in both those languages, which is not here on the GIS site. This question will fare better on SO (assuming some kind reader is willing to provide advice: I do not think many in the SO community would care to write your code for you.) – whuber Nov 25 '12 at 16:49
