I have a problem with creating WPS-Processes for GeoServer.

I followed the "Hello World Tutorial":

When I want to start GeoServer, the application doesn't work anymore ("The requested resource is not available.").

I'm using Geoserver Version 2.2.2 (with Tomcat Webserver) and Maven 2.2.1.

First I created the Folder hello_wps, added the pom.xml (edited the version number from

<groupId>org.geotools</groupId>
<artifactId>gt-process</artifactId>
<version>8-SNAPSHOT</version>

to

<groupId>org.geotools</groupId>
<artifactId>gt-process</artifactId>
<version>8.4</version>

Then I used the maven command "mvn eclipse:eclipse" to create the Java Project for Eclipse. I imported the project in an Eclipse workspace, created the class HelloWPS.java and added the applicationContext.xml to the folder resources. Finally, I created the *.jar with the command "mvn clean install" (I wanted to use the option "-Pwps", but that didn't work).

I copied the .jar-file to the ..\apache-tomcat-7.0.33-windows-x86\apache-tomcat-7.0.33\webapps\geoserver\WEB-INF\lib* folder

What can I do??

That's the log when starting Tomcat

SEVERE: bean lookup error

Anything more descriptive in the logs? Does the rest of GeoServer still work? –  BradHards Jan 2 '13 at 3:09

Can you confirm that you built the GeoServer yourself? Is it possible you didn't enable WPS support? –  BradHards Jan 2 '13 at 5:10

I assume you checked your program worked with out being in GeoServer? –  iant Jan 2 '13 at 8:32

I posted the log from Tomcat. Does "enable WPS support" mean, to install the WPS-Extension? Yes, I did. –  vermesser123 Jan 2 '13 at 11:14

Sorry for the question... "Anybody" deinstalled the WPS-Extension... Now it is working :-) Thank you for helping. –  vermesser123 Jan 2 '13 at 14:01
