I am using Geoserver and Openlayers to display several shapefiles in a mapping application. I thought the best way to begin would be to organize the datasets and do a layer preview in Openlayers on Geoserver. From there, my hope was to edit the code to also include a Bing maps API as the baselayer. However, after having received an API key and following the instructions for adding this to the preview script, everything seems to disappear.

Is using the code from the Openlayers preview not the right way to start? I have made sure the variables and pathnames match, but I still cannot get the application to work with the Bing Maps API key. Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ryan

If you are still having trouble with this, can you try posting the code you are using? Can you provide the results of your debugging (e.g. just trying bing maps) as well? – BradHards Jan 13 at 10:15
