Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I published various map services(feature layers) for multiple web mapping applications on the new ArcGIS for Server 10.1. There were about 50 services and averaged about 50mb in size. This was successful and services are publishing out fine. However when I publish services greater than 110mb in size, they do not publish and error shows up stating "unable to connect to server". Used ArcGIS server manager and ArcCatalog to publish services. Also the files were the recommended .sd files.

Provide more details on your publishing workflow. Im guessing ur making use of the default copy data to server workflow as opposed to registering your data with server? resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/… If so, I would guess that there is a network limitation somewhere that prevents you from uploading a certain amount. – Simon Jan 25 at 5:19
