I'm trying to normalize a field in symbology in Qgis but there is no normalization option like in Arc. I've tried to add a field to the attribute table and use the field calculator to do the normalizing but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a plugin or some other way to normalize without adding a new field to the table? Thanks, MG

It's when you divide the values in one field by the values in another field to get a decimal, or percentage, like you would use to display population density.... – Mike G Jan 24 at 17:11
