I want to georeference a JPG. Now I have put into the JPG and georefrenzieren tries. However, went to a window or anything. So I have the complete QGIS deleted from my computer and reinstalled it. I downloaded the version 1.8 and the version and master georefrenzieren the JPG tried again. Again without success. My colleague tried it out, with the same data and the exact same version as well. With him everything works fine. What can I do about it works for me.

Thanks for your answer

Are you saying that the georeferencing window does not open when you select it from the raster menu? If so, do you get an error message about GDAL when you start QGIS? (If this is not your problem, can you edit your question to provide more information). – MappaGnosis Jan 28 at 11:12
what happens when you press the georeferencer button? – vinayan Jan 28 at 13:05
Exactly the window does not open. There is also no error messages or a service mark. It's just nothing. The plugin is only available locally. I do not know if there's a context. The plugin can I delete or update neither. – user8839 Jan 28 at 15:05

How are defined the access permissions to the file? change permissions to 777 and try georeferencing again.

I have full permissions on the file. It does not work anyway. – user8839 Jan 28 at 15:06
Windows 7...... – user8839 Jan 28 at 15:07
I have the same problem today and solved it by running qgis as an administrator (I am using Lisboa standallone on win 764 16gb of Ram) – Gerardo Jimenez Apr 16 at 18:48
