we plan to develop a webbased 3D GIS using PostGIS 2 and GeoServer with a W3DS. The architecture works fine, but i have problems to import 3D geometries into PostGIS. The geometries come from AutoCAD and consist of 3DFACEs and 3DSOLIDs. I tried to import it with ogr2ogr, but I think it does not support these geometries. The idea is to convert all this 3D objects into 3D-POLYGONs or Polyhedral Surfaces. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks
