I'm trying to join a field in a table to a raster layer. I'm using the tool 'Join Field'. The table is in a excel sheet, but have been imported to a file geodatabase. The table has an ObjectID field which i'm using as join field. When i run the tool there is no error message, but the field from the table hasn't been joined to my raster layer.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

How does the ObjectID field relate to your raster grid (cell values)? I think you need to provide a bit more detail. – Czed Mar 14 '13 at 14:29
Most rasters don't have a unique ObjectID field (e.g., multiple cells can have the same ID/value). Arc will often not do a join (without throwing an error) if the join field isn't unique in both the original and joined tables. – Erica Mar 14 '13 at 23:49
