When developing an ArcMap extension, is there an automatic way to handle versioning?

<AddIn language="CLR4.0" library="MyExtension.dll" namespace="MyExtension">

Are you sure you're looking to build an extension and not an add-in as your code suggests? –  Nick O Mar 21 '13 at 16:28
For AddIns, see: gis.stackexchange.com/q/15422/31 –  Jay Cummins Mar 21 '13 at 19:20
Indeed I meant AddIn instead of Extension. Thanks @Jay Cummins. That will help. –  leon Mar 22 '13 at 11:49
