I used QGIS digitization function to create polylines. Then I need to find the intersection points of these intersected lines. I used the function under the vector editing menu. But I couldnt do it. I will be thankfull if someone help me out.

A little more information is needed. Please identify what is happening (ie: error codes, etc). – Ryan Garnett Mar 25 '13 at 17:36
how i read it, i guess it's about lines digitized with "non-node intersections" (see…) and he/she tries to create those intersection nodes now. Intersection tool only works for two different layers. I think this can be done with postgis for sure, but thats completely beyond my capabilities. – Bernd V. Mar 26 '13 at 0:39
If you want to add nodes into lines at their intersections, you can open the Sextante Toolbox, then use 'GRASS commands -> Vector -> v.clean' select Cleaning tool: break. Just remember to set the 'GRASS region extent', normally I would use 'Select extent on canvas' and draw a rectangle over the area I want to process. – Cao Minh Tu Mar 27 '13 at 2:30
