I've got a dataset consisting of an .aux file and an .rrd file with the same names.
When I open this data using the GDAL C++ library (applying GDALOpen to the .aux file), the dataset seems successfully opened and I can even retrieve general data from it (number of raster bands, block size, dimensions, etc.). However, when I try to access the actual raster data with GDALRasterIO (as in the API tutorial), it crashes with the error message:
GDAL Error 1: Can't find RasterDMS field in Eimg_Layer with block list.
When I try to use any console application from GDAL (like gdal_translate), it results in the same error message.
However, when I open the .aux file as a layer in QGIS, it is able to display the corresponding raster band, but that's all. Trying to change it or to convert into another format results into the same bloody error message in the popup window.
I need be able to sample this raster data from my C++ program. Any suggestions?
