I can create a connection to the database in qgis and the test connection is successful. However when I actually connect to the database to export shape files I get the following error:

the connection is failed, check the configuration.

I'm new (2 days) on Postgresql, but i can connect without problems the database with pgAdimin III. I have edit the pg_hba.conf and put this line: host all all md5. – Paulo Praca Apr 17 '13 at 12:59
