I am using geoserver. I have imported a .tif file using postgis, which has been saved in vector type layer in geoserver. Now, whenever, I preview it, the layer gets automatically downloaded as wms file. Please guide me, how to preview it without getting the file to be downloaded.

check what is written inside the file - this is the error message – iant Apr 22 '13 at 14:00

look in the file called wms (or whatever gets downloaded) – iant Apr 22 '13 at 14:11
'<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?><!DOCTYPE ServiceExceptionReport SYSTEM "localhost:8028/geoserver/schemas/wms/1.1.1/…; <ServiceExceptionReport version="1.1.1" > <ServiceException> illegal bbox, minX: 0.0 is greater than maxX: -1.0 </ServiceException></ServiceExceptionReport>' – Tiya Apr 22 '13 at 14:15
your bbox is illegal - how are you trying to preview the layer? – iant Apr 22 '13 at 14:16
