Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

can anyone point me to a (if possible at all) list of public PostGIS Servers, where one can set up it's own database/tables ?

It's just that I would need a PostGIS 24h on, while dont having these resources by myown, for a or in fact multiple humanitaerian projects in the south pacific.

Also take a look at QGISCloud. You can use a QGIS plugin to connect/communicate with it, or do so directly as a PostGIS datasource.
