Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have created an application using OpenLayers which by default includes the navigation control and the draw feature control. These controls are selected using a control bar similar to the one shown in the example here: http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/editingtoolbar-outside.html

At some point after user interaction, several polygons are generated and the user is able to click on these polygon to see various attributes via popups. Everything works fine until the user switches control (from draw feature to navigation or vice-versa) from the control bar. After the user switches control, the user is no longer able to click on a polygon and see the popup. Interestingly, everything works fine when I set the "hover" property on the SelectFeature control to be true. However, I want the users to be able to click on the polygons not hover over the them.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to provide any code at this point. I will update this post as soon as I'm able to do so. In the mean time, any help would be greatly appreciated.
