In our Silverlight application in many work flows we are changing map extents. The below method is called multiple times, each time the application throws a stack over flow exception. We can not find the reason for this issue. Can anyone provide me with the best way to handle this issue? Please help this is an urgent production issue.

public void SetMapExtent(Envelope envelope)
if (envelope.SpatialReference == null)
envelope.SpatialReference = mapSection.SpatialReference;
mapSection.Extent = envelope;

Please help us on this issue.

what is mapSection in your code? On which line is the stack-overflow happening? – Devdatta Tengshe Apr 30 '13 at 5:30
mapSectio is map control. – iamlaksh1 May 6 '13 at 18:18
Were you able to resolve this? I noticed that it had fairly generic tags which I have now updated. – PolyGeo Sep 12 '13 at 3:18
