I have a point shape file and one of the attribute refers to the altitude. Is is possible to obtain a contour lines shape file in GRASS?

I'm guessing 16032 was referring to the GRASS modules in QGIS.

First: Interpolation Then: Contours

Consider also --> "Interpolating from vector points" – markusN May 7 '13 at 22:33

In Qgis: Raster>Grid/Interpolation then Raster > Extraction > Contour

That's great! Isn't a similar command in grass? – matteo May 7 '13 at 10:59
