I am developing a tool to demonstrate subtypes of feature classes in a geodatabase. My code works until printing feature classes. Can anybody assist me by providing a right way to print subtypes of each feature class? Below is what I have tried so far, it's just a part of the code.

FeatureDataset fClass = new FeatureDataset(ds);
            System.out.println("FeatureDataset Name :"+ fClass.getName());

            IEnumFeatureClass featureclass = fClass.getClasses();
            IFeatureClass cc =;

            while(cc != null)
                //int a = 0;
                FeatureClass classCount = new FeatureClass(cc);
                System.out.println("feature   class:"+classCount.getName());

Thanks in advance.

Did you try ISubTypes? – Kirk Kuykendall May 31 '13 at 15:24
Yes I tried it.Below is what I have tried : ISubtypes pSubtypes = new ISubtypesProxy(classCount); IEnumSubtype subtype = pSubtypes.getSubtypes(); int subtypeCode[] = null; String ff = pSubtypes.getSubtypeFieldName(); String code =; I am getting subtype field value but only single value and also could not get subtype code and description values. Please help me in getting all subtype field values and subtype description and code values. Thanks in advance. – user2319584 Jun 1 '13 at 5:23
The help says "You cannot access objects through the default interface proxy class." Try casting the featureclass to an ISubtype reference. – Kirk Kuykendall Jun 1 '13 at 14:30
