I have a database of 22,000+ signs that contains the offset from centerline along with a distance to/from the edge of pavement to a specific intersecting road for each sign. I also have a street centerline layer and pavement polygon layer with edge of pavements. I'm trying to create point features for the signs based on the offset from centerline and the distance from the nearest intersecting roadway. Looking for some ideas on what tools to use for this analysis (buffer, selectlayerbylocation, etc?)

I think we will need a diagram from you before any suggestions can be offered. In case your reputation is not yet high enough to allow you to do that easily I will +1 your question. – PolyGeo Jul 15 '13 at 5:55
Here is a diagram of what I have described above. – hodeware Jul 22 '13 at 17:12
I caution from such analysis as we determined in a similar exercise that only about 40% of the signs (speed, control, and advisory) matched between on the field and the GIS data. – dassouki Jul 22 '13 at 19:13
