I am using QGIS version 1.8.0. Sometimes when I cut or merge polygons I get unwanted lines left in them. On zooming in to them they do not appear to be slivers. Is there a way of getting rid of these line, some kind or tidy feature or plugin? Thanks

and example-file or at least a screenshoot would be helpful –  Kurt Jul 12 '13 at 17:27

Kurt, I'm new to the website so can you advise me the best way to give you a screenshot or a file? –  Mike Jul 15 '13 at 11:44

any free image upload-service will do it, eg. postimage.org or use flickr.com or what ever you prefer. the following example is from postimage.org: postimg.org/image/subcsiuj5. later on, when you have earned some reputation-points on gis.stackexchange.com, you can upload directly. maybe this link is also useful: makeuseof.com/tag/paste-edit-screenshots-online-instant-sharing –  Kurt Jul 15 '13 at 13:19
