Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for cartographers, geographers and GIS professionals. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I created a custom zoom control and another custom control that toggles a chart onto the map based on API examples and now I'd like to match up the style of the map type buttons to the look of my custom controls.

I've only found examples that show how to position or change the map type dropdown to a horizontal bar. I know that I should disable the default UI and add another custom control for this, but I just don't know how to do it until I see an example that deals with map type controls...

Unfortunately modifying the CSS with jQuery (dirty...) not working:

$('.gm-style-mtc').children().css("padding","20px");
