I have got the following problem: I want to dissolve all the shapefiles in my directory and save them under a different name (consisting of the same name and an addition "_diss"). I have managed to create the full path to the new file, but I dont know how to put this as an argument to the dissolve tool. I have tried "%Full path%" but it says that it is not able to save it. enter image description here

How can I save the shapefiles with the names I have specified?

Your setup maybe correct, however the name of the shapefile cannot have spaces. Replace all spaces with and underscore. – artwork21 Sep 10 '13 at 12:07
