By using the "Image classification" tool we can classify the raster image by "supervised classification",but how to calculate their area?

I mean, for example, in regard for a produced class '4', how can someone calculate the area that is being defined by that class?

Thank you very much. Addition to my issue,I just want to implement this by arcgis engine C#. For example, when using "IMultivariateOp.MLClassify" in ArcObject,we can classify into '4' parts, but I do not know how to calculate each of the area. Please help me,And thank you very much.

Please also post the software you are using, so the question to be tagged accordingly. Image classification tools have many GIS programs. – nickves Nov 30 '13 at 7:45
