Looking for a tutorial on syncing QGIS with Trimble ProXT

Does anyone have any experience/advice to sync a TrimbleProXT gps antenna with the current "Lisboa" 1.8.0v? Additionally did you manage to collect features (points,line,polygons) in the field ok? ...
