comment How to save Result File from command line arcpy?
@EvilGenius adding a script to a toolbox tedious, so I tend to avoid it unless it's something that warrants the extra work. Consequently only about a 3rd of the scripts I use end up being recorded. :-/ The idea of a generic "run this" tool is interesting. I might explore that.

comment How do I get statistics out of a table using Python in Arc 10?
Nice clear example. I added some code comments to help the python beginner this Q is aimed at. For better portability use arcpy.Describe() to retrieve the name of the Area field, example at Determining Shape Area Field Name

comment Enabling public viewers and private editors of feature service on ArcGIS Online For Organizations?
Note July update in my post. New groups with "members can update" permission can now be used to protect feature services, making this approach viable for public feature services. Removing downvote.

comment Enabling public viewers and private editors of feature service on ArcGIS Online For Organizations?
As of 2015-Jul-14 the "set read-only, override at edit time" workaround is improved: org admin can create a group with Members can update items permission. This removes the need for shared login credentials and/or giving all editors organisation-wide admin privileges. You're probably looking for ogr2ogr. See the duplicate Windows script/application to convert GPX to KML? (this question is phrased better, the answers over there are applicable).

comment ArcObjects + comtypes at 10.1 and newer
An alternative to deleting the cache manually is to (re)create the cache with comtypes.client.GetModule( 'filename.olb' ). See github.com/maphew/arcplus/blob/master/arcplus/ao/test.py (worked for me, may not elsewhere).

@user28510 Please post this as an answer and then accept it. After all it is the solution that worked, and others will discover the answer more easily when it's not buried as a comment.
