For this one I think Open Data may be worth posting to.

comment Problem with ArcMap Cut Polygons Tool
It sounds like you are using Reshape Features instead of Cut Polygons - they are next to each other and very similar in operation

comment Minimizing probability of software crashes in ArcGIS for Desktop?
@dof1985 I'm always mindful that our Help says "We are not a GIS Software Support Site. We encourage you to seek official routes for support for specific issues you may have." If there was an error message to go on I am usually happy to try and give free advice but "crashing" could come from many hard to trace sources so I think that is where maintenance dollars can be earned.

This is one that I think you should submit to your local Esri support (support.esri.com).

comment How to set up a new GIS large format Plotter
This looks to me like a question for Super User. It mentions GIS in the title but really your plotter could be being used for hardcopy from many other types of software.

comment Is there a website that has collection of GeoJSONs?
Welcome to GIS SE! As a new user be sure to take the Tour. Your question has been placed on hold as too broad which is always a risk when asking a one line question because it does not enable you to be specific about things like what you mean by "dry lands", what scale the data should have been captured at, etc. I recommend using the edit button to add details like these now so that your question can be re-opened. The minimum length for questions (and answers) is normally "about a paragraph".

comment How to define projection in ArcMap?
If you can edit your question to describe what you are wanting to do, and then the precise steps you perform including the start of ArcMap then it should be easy to pinpoint where you are going astray.

Have you searched here on the overlapping-features tag? I'll be surprised if your first question has not already been answered.

comment Viewing print text while running a script in ArcMap
I think this answer, including the quote from an earlier Q&A, is astray. I mostly agree with @MichaelMiles-Stimson but "arcpy.AddMessage() show in the python window" did not sound right to me so I tested to confirm my suspicion. I use arcpy.AddMessage() when I want to see a message in the geoprocessing progress dialog and/or in the JSON returned by geoprocessing services in response to REST API requests but print everywhere else.

comment How to use google maps as base maps in cartodb?
Could you please review How to ask a good question? Have you had a look at any of the CartoDB tutorials?

comment how to use cartodb polygons with google maps as base map?
Please do not add two new questions. One of them should be an edit to this one. Both should be researched before asking to let us know what you have tried and where you are stuck. These are some Q&As you should probably review first: gis.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/google-maps+cartodb

comment how to use cartodb polygons with google maps as base map?
That sounds like at least two questions. Please edit your question to revise it to what you are trying to do first. This should give you some ideas about how to structure a question here: meta.gis.stackexchange.com/a/3353

comment how to use cartodb polygons with google maps as base map?
Would you be able to edit your question to let us know what precisely you have tried and where you are stuck, please? For example, are you already able to draw Google Maps in CartoDB?

comment How to scrape polygon data from web map?
@JohnBarça it looks like you could post your comment as an answer.

comment Using variables from one Python script in other Python scripts?
Questions such as this, which are pure Python rather than about a Python module or site-package for GIS should normally be researched/asked at Stack Overflow.

comment How to contact author of CartoDB map?
@SteveBennett I've re-opened this so that you can add that as an answer. I thought the user was trying to contact the map author using GIS SE tools but the re-phrasing seems more along the lines of how to use CartoDB to try and contact one of its map authors.

Welcome to GIS SE! As a new user be sure to take the Tour. Here you have asked an identical one to that asked by another user account recently and so it has been made a duplicate.

When you say "personnel geodatabases", do you mean personal (*.mdb) geodatabases?

comment Converting multiple File geodatabase (.gdb) into multiple Personal geodatabase (.mdb)
Welcome to GIS SE! As a new user be sure to take our Tour. As it stands I think your question is too broad for our focussed Q&A format because it seems to be simply stating your problem and then asking for "input or code in python". I recommend that you edit your question to say precisely what you have tried and where you are stuck because we are not a code writing service.
