Ooh, that looks really helpful! Do you know if there are similar PDFs for the other style references?

Which software are you using? If you are using QGIS, you can see this question: gis.stackexchange.com/questions/10117/…

comment How to present three spatial variables in one map?
Do you have a map layer for the damaged surface areas? I would suggest that the map layer itself would display the damaged area. That leaves the two remaining variables, which you can plot with the colors and symbols.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean.

Well, yes, my question didn't specify that I wanted to do this without deleting the relationship class. I will clarify.

comment Change Which FeatureClass a RelationshipClass Points at
On further investigation, I realize that I only have to change one relationship per featureclass in this specific case. But I would still like an answer, because I do have the same situation in other cases.

comment How to edit AutoCad coordinate drawing boundaries
At least with modern versions. There might have been restrictions in the 80's or so.

comment ArcGIS: Can you add attributes to a relationship class at a later date?
Actually, it appears that you can use any Table or Field tool on a Relationship class. I just used Data Management>Table>Delete Rows on my relationship.

This works for me at the moment, but if anyone knows how to do this in ArcCatalog or (especially) ArcToolbox; that would be a big help.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of OpenScales before. Looks like it overlays data from multiple sources. openscales.org

comment How to display Heatmap in Internet Explorer 7 using ArcGIS JavaScript API?
Which kind of "heatmap" are you referring to? A raster image with gently (or not) graduated colors? Or a polygon "chloropleth" map.

@Kyle Great, you can mark my question as answered by hitting the checkmark to the left of my answer. Though this could be an opportunity for someone to write up a proper tutorial.

comment Allow viewer to embed OpenLayers in their own site?
Do you already use OpenLayers on your own site? If so, you would typically provide some of the code that you are already using.

comment Open Source Tool capable of reading Esri File Geodatabase (.gdb)?
As Matt Wilkie notes, this answer is now obsolete as ESRI has shared an API for file geodatabases.

+1 for Manifold. I had heard the name before, but I had no idea that they actually use modern computing technologies.

comment What type/model of pointing device do you use for GIS?
@StephenLead How do you have both mice connected to your computer? Are they both USB? I could almost be convinced to abandon my CLI ways if there was such a thing as a multi-mouse desktop environment.

+1 for being relaxed, that is the key to comfort with whatever input device you prefer.

@SaultDon With whatever mouse I use I occasionally lift my thumb clear of the mouse so that my index finger is the only thing doing the clicking. I know that I get cramped even worse whenever I use a pen/stylus, but whatever works for you :)
