comment How can we improve the OpenLayers documentation?
Roughly speaking, how much funding would be required to resolve the documentation issues?

@dchaboya the cost of disk space is relatively low when compared to the level of stress I save. Also I don't believe in deleting anything.

comment Put the author's name on maps?
The company I worked at before had a policy of writing the following @2010 - Company Name - GIS Analyst - Version 5 - 13/5/2010 in small font in the bottom right corner of the map

Can you provide more context on what you're trying to achieve and what have you done so far to get to that goal?

comment When is a 3D Visualisation in GIS Useful?
@underdark The third dimension could be driver behavior for example. Older people drive different than younger people, so as you have interaction between 100s of subjects, each of them have their own parameters. although they're in a x,y,(somewhat z), and time scale, the idea is that you see how the subjects, treat reality given all of their surroundings

@mapoholic SavvasSopiadis I think for walking routing, you'll need more information such as "does intersection allow pedestrians", or "is there a trail around that users prefer", or "crime rate of this area", or "uphill down grade", "proximity to transit". Pedestrian routing is complex and involves a lot more disaggregate data

@SavvasSopiadis I know nothing about Java my friend, try asking in their dev or user mailing lists though. the qgis team is usually excellent at responding
