comment Leaflet JS Plugin
What you have is an unhandled exception where the JavaScript object of a type is commended to behave as another type. Given that this is all your written code, the Leaflet API doesn't have a selectLayer member therefore selectLayers is undefined. An undefined object cannot execute as a function. Inspecting L.control.selectLayers should return undefined.

comment Leaflet: Capturing points for features inside circle
It might be a scope issue. I commented your code here, since it isn't an answer but troubleshooting: gist.github.com/roma0104/b50d62ad6fdb7440f8c2

comment Why [0] is needed in row[0] when using ArcPy (Data Access) cursors?
This is commonly referred to as an access operator or sometimes [] operator. It is a very common idiom in programming languages/scripts to access objects/values stored in lists, vectors, maps, etc. Getting the vocab will help you greatly in the future when searching for answers.

comment QGIS - Changing Legend Size with Python
In the composer window there is an option to word wrap on a particular character sequence. I am afraid I am ignorant of the Python API (todo list) but you might see if the newline escape sequence '\n' could be inserted programmatically into your legend strings. Or use a mesh of the composer and scripting to achieve a smaller width.

comment r.basin.py GRASS addon
Sorry for the long-overdue reply Matt. Check those paths and make sure those files exist. My setup is a little different and I usually use Linux, so I cannot test along side.

comment WMS GetMap MIME type error
Was your map displaying correctly before the DOCTYPE change? A returned vnd.ogc.se_xml is usually a sign that the requested resource had an exception. As in a poorly structured request. The error is just saying that it expected an image but got a XML instead.

comment DEM data - Central Europe - noise in heights
Just a guess but looks like maybe an overflow problem? The change occurs at what looks like a break point or elevation. Have your tried changing short to long for height's type?
