comment Leaflet / Google Map baselayer / markers not visible
Tom/Andy, Thanks for the comments. Tom - we still use Google Maps "natively" for static maps and where I need to show a single site or single type of site. I am, however, trying to migrate the section that shows many markers of different types so we can utilise the layer-switching of Leaflet (and also switch to alternate base map providers). I'm sorry if my original message didn't make this clear, but we are doing this, as Andy mentioned, by using the Leaflet Google Maps plugin which in turn uses the Google Maps v3 API - we aren't trying to call the tiles directly. Andy, Thanks very much indeed - that fixed it perfectly and no other side-effects that I can see (so far at least!). Had been looking at the leaflet Google Maps plugin code and have found it utilises "insertAtTheBottom" which I understand is now deprecated. Dave
