comment ESRI geodatabase, Oracle spatial performance
when zoom in, and pan, it is taking more than a minute to render the layers. Oracle in on unix box, and arcgis server on windows 2008 R2 server machine.

comment Generate rectangular polygons from an existing point dataset
Fishnet require measurements, and I need to go with the points. If I go with the measurements, I am not sure that it will match the points

That is a smart way to do it. but I didn't know how to do snap the corner to the point. When I enable snapping I can snap the point layer to the edge of the polygon, but it doesn't do it for the vertics on the lower left corner.

comment Arcgis desktop connection to oracle
I ended up uninstall oracle client and install it again. and it is working now. I am not sure what was the cause of the problem, but I am highly suspecting it is a bug in ArcGIS desktop 10.1 connection.

comment How to copy table in ArcGIS for Desktop and keep same feature ID (objectID)?
I needed for something stupid and simple. I needed to copy the table as table to MsAccess, to give it to the user as simple backup before he run geoprocessing , so he can later compare the data with the old one. I thought I will use ArcGIS desktop to do that task, to have a copy of that table. It is not a real business process , it is just for testing small thing. and instead of answer my question, I got a lecture on best practices of ArcGIS. I can give lectures better than those guys.
