comment How to count overlapping polygons from one Shapefile?
Divide our shapefile into regional shapefiles, then run the analysis on the regional shapefiles, then dissolve them to get the full file again.

Weird...maybe you'll get more answers on stackoverflow.com; I am no JS/CSS guru and some of those guys are.

What Geodatabase class library are you using? Where is the API documentation for that library?

comment openlayers display Control.MousePosition on div.olMap
Maybe it's because of the positioning you specify? try setting bottom and right with your position (absolute/relative). See the CSS code in the fiddle I linked to.

A solution using leaflet would be to convert your shapefile to a geojson file (maybe using Quantum GIS or mapshaper, npmjs.org/package/mapshaper ), and then displaying this using leaflet. See leafletjs.com/examples/geojson.html . Another alternative would be OpenLayers, where this is also possible (see openlayers.org/en/v3.0.0/examples/geojson.html ).

Just try it. Import a raster image to QGis, assign a projection/fake georeference, the use QTiles plugin to export.

Is your error scale dependent? Does it worsen/correct itself on different map scales?

Just fake it. georeference the image so the corners get UTM coordinates, export with QTiles plugin. QTiles generates a leaflet-based viewer if instructed. You can use this as a base for further work.

comment Loading .style file?
What are you trying to achieve - just having all the styles available to apply the manually to a layer or using "match to symbols in a style"?

...which would make a nice assignment for students: Use a publicly available dataset and determine which cities with more than 100.000 inhabitants are (roughly) antipodal. Sort your list by population.

I cannot reproduce this using QGis 2.4 on Windows and a UTM 32N projection (EPSG:4647).

How large are your buffers? Maybe you run into distortion because of the projection you are using.
