comment Creating a custom Lambert Conformal Conic projection in ArcGIS 10.1 and/or 10.2.2
Thank you for that answer... I wasn't provided false easting/northing, and there isn't an option for it in the custom projection dialogue in ArcGIS 10.1.

comment Sum values within one raster (25m) using another raster (1km) ArcGIS Desktop 10.2
Ok, I've tried using both a 1km fishnet and a 1km raster created from the fishnet and using Mean or sum or whatever I used, it essentially does a majority resample (300k unique records). I'm going to try to extract a small enough subset that allows me to build a raster table. (currently can't do it for the 25m layer because the tool results in an error 'only single band rasters can be used'

Well, I'd like to see if there is a raster based solution. I'm still working on the union solution.

I'll try that... I have a 1km fishnet that I'll union to the population data.

comment Export a large raster to a comma or tab delimited text file in ArcGIS 10.2 for Desktop
Thanks very much, this was a great response. I'll definitely use this in the future. For now I was able to 'add XY' to a 'raster to point' operation within ArcGIS desktop. I exported the resulting table to a text file, imported to Access and used a query to join to the original raster attributes (I also rounded some of the coordinates which had 1E-6 variations from integer values). Thanks again for your help.

This ASCII output is too large for notepad++, thanks for the suggestion. I've never used GDAL, any tips for getting started with that? Using with python? Thanks again

comment Creating raster pinned to cartesian coordinates using ArcGIS for Desktop?
I want to use it as a snap raster for resampling and reprojecting another raster, so the value doesn't matter I guess.

comment Creating raster pinned to cartesian coordinates using ArcGIS for Desktop?
I am using ArcGIS; I thought of creating a set of coordinates for a point file and then doing a point to raster conversion, but there must be an easier way. Thanks for responding! Much appreciated.

comment Merging and snapping Tiger line files
I am using ArcGIS. I tried doing a merge and setting the XY tolerance to 1 meter in the environmental variables, to no avail.
